It’s Impossible To Sin After Getting Saved

I know the title is controversial, but afford me the opportunity to offer up what the scriptures have to say on the subject. 🙂

John 3:5 — Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless on is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

1 Peter 1:3-5 — Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in Heaven for you, who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

1 Peter 1:23 — Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever…

1 John 3:9 — Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

Romans 6:6-8 — Knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him.

Hebrews 4:10 — For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

Colossians 2:6 — As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord [by grace through faith], so walk in him [by grace through faith].

Hebrews 10:26-29 — For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?
